2018 Clarence House Estate Reserve Pinot Noir
Clarence House was built in 1830 on land which was originally the market garden for the City of Hobart. The present owner, David Kilpatrick, first planted vines on the North-East slopes of Clarence Plains in 1998.
The 2018 Reserve Pinot Noir has been blended from selected Pinot grapes aged in a variety of barrels. The clones used in 2018 include 777, 114 and MV6. The blending sought to emphasise the complexity, wood, and nutty characters of the Pinot grape.
The wine was produced by Anna Pooley and Justin Bubb at Pooley Wines. It should drink well for at least 10 years.
Available in a 12 bottle case at a special discounted price of $540.
